A woman trying on shoes while seated on a pink bench in an organized walk-in closet.
Have you ever opened your closet and realized that the clothes are familiar, but the way you feel in them has changed? Or noticed that a household routine you once managed easily now takes more thought and energy? During perimenopause, menopause, and the years beyond, we may find ourselves looking at our spaces—and our lives—with fresh eyes. I understand that personally. It’s one of the reasons I love helping women organize for this season of life.
We Can Talk About It
I love being a menopausal woman because it helps me help other women navigate this experience. There is something reassuring about working with someone who welcomes an honest conversation about what feels different.
I was blessed with nine older sisters and a very candid mother. We talked about these things. I talk about them with my girlfriends, too. But I know that openness hasn’t been everyone’s experience.
If you’ve felt hesitant to talk about what you’re experiencing, there is room for that conversation here.
Our bodies can change. Our energy, priorities, and the way we think about our lives can change, too. Some women experience brain fog or disrupted sleep. Others find themselves in a season of deep introspection, asking, “What matters to me now?”
Each woman’s experience is her own. When I help someone organize her home, I want to understand hers.
Let Your Home Meet You Here
When your needs change, your home can change with you.
Take your wardrobe. Maybe your shape or size has shifted, and getting dressed involves trying on several things before finding something comfortable. We can begin by making the clothes that fit and feel good today easy to see and reach.
That doesn’t require making a decision about every other piece right away. Sometimes, simply giving your current favorites their own clear space makes the morning feel gentler.
In the kitchen, we might bring the things you use every day within easy reach. In an office, we might create one dependable place for incoming paperwork and a visible spot for reminders, so there is less to hold in your head.
These are small, thoughtful adjustments. Together, they can help your home feel more supportive of the life you’re living now.
Make Room for What Matters Now
This season can bring challenges, and it can bring clarity. You may discover that you want more room for a creative interest, quieter mornings, or fewer belongings to manage.
I like to begin with a simple question: “What would make your day feel easier?”
Perhaps it’s a drawer that opens smoothly, a clear place to prepare lunch, or a closet filled with choices you enjoy wearing. We can start there. One space. One useful change.
We can organize, reorganize, and thoughtfully choose what stays close at hand. We can also take our time. You deserve support that respects your energy, your attachments, and your hopes for this chapter.
There is room for both the challenges and the gifts of this season. Wherever you find yourself today, your home can offer a little more ease, comfort, and room to be yourself. I’d love for you to follow along online as I share more gentle, practical ways to make that happen—one manageable step at a time.
